There are two tasks per week. One will be the weekly task where they can bet a minimum of 50% of their shopping budget and the other will be broadcast live on Channel 4 and will earn them luxuries.

Week 1: 25/05/2003 Task: 2 people must be pedalling on a pedalo for 72 hours with only 20 seconds to change the people pedalling. Also, must not pedal below 60 revolutions per hour.
Percentage Gambled: 50%
Pass /
Fail - at 1 point there were not two people in the pedalo at all times due to Federico.
Extra Tasks: None Live Task: 31/05/2003 Task: Tug - of - War.
The housemates had to elect an umpire (who automatically won) and then the umpire spilt the remaining housemates into 2 groups of 5. The winning group got the reward. The umpire elected was SISSY. Winners: Gos, Jon, Scott, Steph & Justine.
Losers: Federico, Ray, Cameron, Nush & Tania.
Prize: Access to the rewards room. (a room hidden in the wall down the corridor) |

Week 2: 01/06/2003 Task: Become members of the cub scouts. When Big Brother whistles, the housemates must meet in the garden dressed in their uniforms and perform the parade for Big Brother. They have 2 minutes to go out to the garden.
Percentage Gambled: 65%
Pass / Fail - the housemates failed because Federico answered one of the questions wrong.
Live Task: 07/06/2003 Pass the parcel, once a layer is removed, the housemate must answer a question. If they answer correct, they are a winner, if they are incorrect, they carry on passing the parcel.
Winners: Jon, Cameron, Tania, Federico, Nush, Scott & Gos.
Losers: Steph, Sissy & Ray.
Prize: Access to the rewards room (now redecorated in blue with games). |

Week 3: 08/06/2003 Task: Handbells - the housemates are given 94 notes to remember along with the rhythm. They must remember the exact order and rhythm and have two chances to get it correct.
Percentage Gambled: 65%
Pass / Fail
Live Task: Relay Charades. Jon nominated himself to be the guesser and he was automatically disqualified from the game.
Winners: Federico, Ray, Nush, Tania, Steph and Cameron.
Losers: Scott, Gos & Jon.
Cameron became a winner after Jon failed to guess his charade. However, Federico gambled his place in the reward room to gain another housemate. Cameron guessed correctly.
Reward: The reward room, but now as a 50's Diner. |

Week 4: 15/06/2003 Task: To become superheroes. They must each think up a name for themselves, super power and motto. Whenever their motto is played into the house, they have 3 minutes to get into their costumes via the telephone box in the house. They then have a further 7 minutes to kill all of the nine villains. The housemates are allowed 1 mistake.
Percentage Gambled: 85%

Live Task:
Two contestants must be chosen to play the game and be tested on their knowledge of the world. Ray and Cameron were chosen. The one with the highest score chooses 5 fellow contestants to share their reward. They had to identify 5 different countries. Cameron won the task and chose Ray, Scott, Gos, Steph & Tania leaving Nush on her own. They
went to the reward room to find that they were to get an 8 course gourmet meal and must stay there until 12:30. |

Week 5: 23/96/2003
Task: Getting to know you. The housemates are allowed to have 1 question wrong. They must each answer 3 questions about their fellow housemates (using Gaetano instead of Cameron).

Live Task:
Picking straws. The housemates had to decide upon an order in which they will select a straw from a specially made holder. Winners are defined as someone who picks out a long straw. A short straw has a red mark at the bottom.
Ray picked first followed by Nush and entered the reward room to find Lisa a 35 year old new housemates from Penarth, Cardiff in Wales. Scott picked next followed by Steph and entered the reward room. Cameron and Gos were the last two and entered the reward room. All the straws were long ones.
With Lisa, there were pizzas, beers and a reminder of all the rules regarding a new housemate. |

Week 6: 29/06/2003
Task: Learn equestrian techniques on how to saddle a horse and jump. More details soon.
Percentage Gambled: 100%
Pass / Fail
Live Task: (now taking place on Sunday due to a bomb scare) Race robotic animals. The winner becomes head of the house, who is the only person to nominate next week and must name 3 people. The loser is not permitted access to the reward room. Winner: Ray Loser:
Cameron Reward: The reward room done up as an Irish pub. Open from 11am til Midnight from Sunday until Wednesday. The loser is not permitted access. |

Week 7: 06/07/2003 The task this week is done by Ray alone as he is the head of the house. Ray is to play a game of roulette betting the shopping budget of £51.
Ray lost the challenge and the shopping budget next week is £2.
Live Tasks: A game of bingo. One housemate must forfeit their place in the reward room to become the caller. Each housemate must then chose a bingo card and once their ball is drawn, must cross out the corresponding number on the card. The task will run for a maximum of 6 minutes. Once these 6 minutes are up, the housemate with
the most numbers crossed off are the winner. If there is more than 1 winner, the caller must decide who wins. This task will run on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday: The winner is Ray and chooses Cameron to go to the reward room with him. Scott is the caller. The reward room is done out as a hotel room with 1 double bed.
Ray and Cameron have a choice of DVD's to watch and pampering products as well as a room service menu. They can stay in the reward room until 9am Sunday morning. Once they leave they cannot re-enter. Sunday: The winner is Scott and chooses Nush to go to the reward room with him. |

Week 8: 13/07/2003 Task:
Write and perform an opera. Must not last longer than 8 minutes. Must have 6 songs. 5 must not have more than 2 people singing at any 1 time, but the 6th must have all of them singing as an ensemble. The creativity will be judged. If passed, a party will be given.
Percentage Gambled: 100% gambled by Big Brother

Live Task:
Needle in a Haystack For every needle found, they get 1 night in the reward room. They found 2 needles. Jon had to answer 5 questions in the diary room as he elected himself. Jon answered 2 incorrect, so 2 housemates had to wear boxing gloves to do the task. Only Scott & Jon got to search anyway. |

Week 9: 20/07/2003 Task:
Opinions. The group must answer 75% of all the questions correctly to pass.
The group get a party on Thursday night if they pass. The group chose a Christmas party.
