Big Brother Diary

Click on the day below to find out what happened on that day:

Day 15: (06/06/2003 - Friday)
Today is eviction day and the looming eviction is on everybody's mind.  Will it be Jon or Justine going?  Well it's up to the public.
At 8:54pm, Davina announced that the second person to be evicted was Justine.  How could the public possibly like Jon and keep him in?  Anyway, Justine received 56.8% of the vote, which amounts to 363,376 votes.  Justine was devastated.

Goodbye Justine and we shall hopefully see her next week at the next eviction.

Now, at big-bro.co.uk, we want Jon out of that house and we are appealing for you to vote out the geek.  We are absolutely positive that Jon will be nominated again next week, so, when the nominations are announced, pick up that phone and vote for Jon on
 09011 21 44 05.
Help us get rid of Jon.  If you have your own website, you can display this button to help with our campaign:

Day 16: (07/06/2003 - Saturday)
Today the housemates were given their second live task.  It consisted of pass the parcel.  Whichever housemates held the parcel at the time of the music stopping, had to remove one layer from the parcel.

However, with each layer came a question.  If the question was answered correctly the housemate became a winner, if incorrect, the housemates must carry on playing.
Jon, Cameron, Tania, Gos & Federico answered their questions correctly and became winners.  Steph and Ray also had questions, but answered incorrectly.  Scott, Nush & Sissy had no questions at all.
BUT, Scott removed the last layer which made him an automatic winner and could choose to take one person with him. He chose Nush, so Steph, Ray & Sissy became losers.
They were rewarded with the rewards room, which has been redecorated blue and with lots of games for the winner to play.  The housemates were permitted to stay in the room until midnight, but could not leave the room until Big Brother said so.  Nothing from the rewards room was to be removed from the rewards room, but Tania snook out quite a few things including a sherbet dip, yorkie bar, cigarettes and chocolate cake.  Big Brother asked her to return them (although most things were already eaten), which she did.  However, Big Brother told the housemates that they will be reviewing their rewards in future due to the incident.

Day 17: (08/06/2003 - Sunday)
The housemates have been given their 3rd weekly task, which consists of handbells.  The housemates will be given 40 notes today, tomorrow and 14 on Tuesday, where they must remember all the notes and the rhythm.  The group decided to bet 65% of their shopping budget on successfully completing the task.

Later in the day, Jon tries to take charge of the task because both his parents are teachers and that he is apparently a good teacher.

However, due to argument with the group, Jon told Scott that he would let them "learn inefficiently".  What a big headed prat he is!!  Why won't he let the rest of the group learn things by themselves!!  He always takes charge.

Sissy went to the diary and spoke to Big Brother about her concerns with Nush because of what she had said, and decided to have it out with Nush.  Nush & Sissy went to the girls' room and it was all about Sissy asking Nush if she would like a cup of tea and Nush refused and made a comment about her using too many tea bags.  Sissy claims that it "put a downer on the day" and that she cried over it.  What a cry baby!!
Nush apologised and Sissy accepted it, so it was time for Nush to get her own back.  "I heard you speaking to Gos about how you are fed up the chickpeas".  Nush felt very hurt because it was her who had made that meal and had tried to add different things to it to make it more interesting and she claims that it really hurt her.  Before Sissy could apologise, Nush had buried her head in her pillow with tears.

Day 18: (09/06/2003 - Monday)
Today the housemates made their third set of nominations.  The group nominated Jon, Federico and Sissy, but won't find out until tomorrow.

The task is something that is worrying the housemates as they all believe that they will fail it.  They haven't got the bells to try it out with, so they cannot judge what it will be like using the bells.

Day 19: (10/06/2003 - Tuesday)
The nominations were announced today.  As soon as BB announced that Sissy faced eviction, she ran to the girls' bedroom and demanded no one bother her.
Even though she told the other girls she wanted to be alone, Sissy was happy to let Irish charmer Ray in before breaking down and crying on his shoulder.  If she loses the public vote on Friday night, Sissy would become the third girl in three weeks to be thrown out of the house after Anouska and Justine were both previously evicted.  That means her nomination is a good omen for boys Fed and Jon who also find themselves in the spotlight.  Fed had become a favourite to be among the potential evictees after twice failing the group task and leaving the housemates with hardly any cash to spend on their weekly food supply.
When they heard the news, both of the blokes shook hands with Jon admitting in the garden how he was expecting his name to be called.  But the boring sci-fi geek must fancy his chances of survival - he has managed to avoid eviction both times he has been nominated over the past two weeks.
He even admitted on Friday night - as he watched busty Justine get the boot instead of him - that he didn't know what the public saw in him.

The housemates continued to practice their 3rd task today with them receiving the final 14 notes to memorise.  They were also given a metronome to help them keep in rhythm.

Day 20: (11/06/2003 - Wednesday)
THE Big Brother housemates failed their THIRD task today — leaving them with just £3.60 each to buy a week’s food and booze.
But it wasn’t the fault of Federico, who had put everyone on rations by failing the first two tasks.
The housemates lost out after gambling 65%of their budget on a bell-ringing test.
Now they will be lucky to get fed at all with a total of just £32.55 for the week.
Big headed Jon, messed up twice, despite complaining the challenge to memorise a 94 note sequence of notes was too SIMPLE.  The housemates had to learn the routine without knowing the song — or even having bells to practice on.
When they were given bells for the challenge, they managed to work out that the tune was An English Country Garden.
On the first attempt, they completed 55 notes when Steph played her bell instead of Scott.
The second time they played 34 notes when Jon forgot to come in and Gos had to cue him.
Nush played out of turn and then Tania played the wrong bell.
Federico, 23, said: “That was soul-destroying. It was no one’s fault.”
But the housemates took the news of their failure on the chin.
And Big Brother gave them a treat of a Chinese takeaway and booze for managing to correctly name the tune.
