Earlier in the day, Carole and Gerry exchanged words about her control of the kitchen.

"I'm not controlling anything, Gerry," Carole protested. "Do you know what? You don't just go around taking other people's stuff."

"It is not other people's stuff," Gerry replied. "It is my stuff as well."

"Have the courtesy to ask!" Carole shouted at Gerry. "Do you know what? Kara has the courtesy to say to me 'Can I have some bran flakes?' despite the fact she's sharing with us. That's about courtesy. It's about respecting other people instead of just doing what you like."

"I've got a bogey up my nose," commented Brian, subtly trying to segue into a change of subject.

Later, after the Colour Therapy session, Liam and Ziggy decided it was time to take back control of their own lunch.

"The fact is, when Carole goes near the kitchen we do feel uncomfortable going near it," Ziggy told Liam. "I wanna live in this House. I want my time here and I want to enjoy it."

"My life is not being waited on hand and foot," said Liam.

"Nor is mine," said Ziggy. "The impression we may be putting across is that we're just sitting there and letting her do things."

"Anything that we do that she doesn't wanna do, upsets her," said Liam, worrying about Carole's feelings.

"Everything's Carole," Ziggy observed, "It really is, because we care for her very much, but the food thing is, you know..."

"Irritating," said Liam, finishing Ziggy's sentence.

"Carole's had seven rows with Gerry over the food thing, when he's had cereal from what is his," said Ziggy.

"The Kara thing just then," said Liam. "Kara's done the best out of anybody in this House for food. She's getting breakfast every morning, apples when she wants, getting meals off us."

"We have to stick by it," decided Ziggy of their decision to cook their own food.

"If we can just keep it nice," added Liam.

Liam and Ziggy bravely continued to make their own omelettes for lunch. Tracey joined them and the three housemates discussed the best way forward with Carole and the cooking arrangements.

"The last thing I ever wanna do in here is upset Carole because she's been so good to us," explained Ziggy. "I think we need to show her that other people can do it."

Why do we get the impression it's not going to be quite that simple...
