websites and subdomains. It does not apply to any other website(s), including
any external or third-party websites linked to from big-bro.

The terms 'Twitter' and 'Facebook' refer to the social networking websites

cannot be held responsible for situations which arise from the collection of
information by external or third-party websites.

User Information

There are some areas on big-bro where you may be asked to enter some of your
personal details (e.g. email address). These include, but are not limited to,
our comment areas and email form. We will never use such information
irresponsibly or pass it on to third parties, except in cases where the law
requires us to.


A 'cookie' is an item of data stored on the user's device containing
information about their use of a website. To the best of our knowledge, the only
uses of cookies in public areas of big-bro are as follows:

  • Comments - When commenting, we offer users a 'remember'
    option which, if selected, will save their details (e.g. name, email
    address) in cookies so they don't have to re-enter them for future comments.
  • Polls - Every time a user votes in our polls, a cookie
    is set to remember their choice(s) and prevent them from voting again.
  • Sign in with Twitter/Facebook - see below
  • Advertisements - see below

However, our content management system may set cookies our staff are unaware
of. We regularly monitor the site to check for such cookies and will take action
if we find any.
